The successful rebuild of the Hut is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our villagers.

So many people have had a hand in this project. From village cafés, to supporting events, buying bricks, making donations as well turning up on site to help out.

From the consultation to the design phase, from grant application to planning permission there were many milestones.

Particular thanks must go to the Shabbington Village Community Trustees who guided the project. Sophy Blandy, Jill Hughes, Ian Redding, Sian Cattell, Claire Readman and Helen Mavin deserve special mention.

Architect Richard Blandy demonstrated the upmost perseverence in the design and planning stages, thank you.

When most of us were taking summer holidays in 2025, Chris Davies and his team of builders and tradesmen worked tirelessly to complete the build on time.

A great big thank you to you all.
