Update 
As most of you know the Hut has now reached the end of its life. After much consultation,
and exploration of different plans and ideas, (including finding a new location with parking,
building a much bigger hut on the same site and renovating our current hut) we have now
settled on the best way forward.
Our plan is to demolish the existing structure and rebuild. We will be increasing the size of
the hall by 37%.
The new building will be airy and warm and conform to all regulations. It will be a Hut we
can be proud of, last the next hundred years and be suitable for all activities we have
planned for it.
We have received building quotations and will require a project budget of £130,000 (which
includes a contingency amount) to complete the project.
We have raised £80,000 so far. We are in touching distance of reaching our goal and have
embarked on another series of grant applications. If successful, we could start the work in
May 2025. It will take nine months to a year to complete.
